- "Every place has its share of jerks, I guess. But when it comes to jerks, I'm the best there is!"
- — Helios, Beyblade Metal Masters DS.
Helios Ryuzaki (ヘリオス Heriosu) was a former antagonist in the Beyblade film, Metal Fight Beyblade VS The Sun: Sol Blaze, the Scorching Hot Invader. His Beyblade is Sol Blaze V145 AS.
Physical Appearance
Helios has big, spiky, white hair. His eyes are sapphire blue and make him look serious most of the time. He wears a red bandanna as a scarf around his neck. A dark brown leather jacket is layered over his olive green shirt. He wears brown gloves, white pants, and brown ring buckled boots. On the back of his leather jacket, there is a sun symbol.
Personality
Helios is manipulative, lazy, and whiny. He never speaks when he doesn't need to, but when he does speak, it's usually the truth. To Gingka and the other bladers he lashes out with hostility and venom. He is known to be serious all the time and rarely discloses his emotions. He has harbored a grudge against Bakim as he rejected him in the past. He has little in the way of hunting or battle skills, but makes up for it in cunning, often finding ways to do jobs while doing little to no work by tricking someone else into doing it for him. He uses sweet talk and charisma to convince Gingka to battle him on Bakim's Space Ark.
Joking is for toddlers, he thinks. He becomes very open towards Gingka and his friends when he realizes that Bakin is using him and and his Bey to generate power for the asteroid in order to destroy the world. With the others, especially Ryuga, he is cold and silent. When he laughs, he hiccups, which makes him seem a bit childish.
History
His grandfather Bakin, raised him since he was young. He taught Helios almost everything he knows, from how to walk and talk, to how to launch and battle with a Beyblade. Bakin used his Bey, Dark Poseidon to unlock Sol Blaze and it was given to Helios, who was told that he was chosen to use this bey to work for the revival of Atlantis.
Profile
Metal Fight Beyblade vs the Sun: Sol Blaze
Helios first appears on screen in a summer tournament, where he defeats half of the participants, among them Gingka's friends. He's only interested in a battle against Gingka's Pegasus however, which he easily wins.
In the duration of the movie, it turns out that Helios works for Bakin's Atlantis cult, The Sun Footsoldiers, and that their goal is the revival of Atlantis itself. For this, Helios fights without second thoughts, also defeating Masamune, Ryutaro, Tetsuya and Tobio as they challenge him.
Finally, Gingka and his friends challenge him again, on Bakim's boat. Helios beats Masamune quite easily, then battles against Kenta, Yu and Benkei. Despite the three on one disadvantage he beats them without breaking a sweat. After this Gingka challenges him as revenge for his friends they battle hard and Gingka gains new power thus beating Helios. Unknown to them, the energy from their battle is used to change the course of a comet passing earth, to hit the planet directly.
Realizing that Bakin has only been using him, Helios decides to battle alongside Gingka to save earth. Boarded on the flight deck of the Space Shuttle Atlantis II, they go to space to oppose the comet directly and with their combined blader skills, they manage to prevent the catastrophe. Helios tells Gingka he wants to battle him again which Gingka agrees to.
In Fanfiction
Truth or Dare
Helios appears in Falco276's MFB fanfiction as an astronaut / mission control director employee for NASA at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. His ultimate views on space and the solar system fiercely rivals that of Angel's Flat Earth theories and debunks on moon landings. He denies Angel's theoretical blabber, titling it her Garbage Flat Earth theories. He leads his crew on the STS 136 mission abroad the Space Shuttle Atlantis II, successfully completing their mission to deliver a Mini Research Module, a fourth Tracking and Data Relay Satellite and maintain the ISS (International Space Station).
Helios is known to be an avid surfer as well, occasionally shredding across Cocoa Beach. He prefers surf board brands, Channel Islands, Firewire, Storm Blade, Pyzel, Dakine, and FCS. While not surfing, he adores Celsius energy drinks and is a huge Illenium fan, having attended the Djakarta Warehouse Pro EDM concert in Jakarta, Indonesia and the Rise Above EDM concert in Orlando, Florida.
You're my Sunshine
Helios appears in the MFB fanfiction where he inexpediently meets Krista Lenz, a mysterious girl fleeing from the Sunfoot cult. Their relationship blossoms by meeting new friends at Cocoa Beach during a surfing session and attending Illenium's Rise Above event in Orlando. Conflicted with both his parent’s deaths, and the isolation of his grandfather Bakin, Helios resolves his terrible past with Krista, who eventually agrees to his condition in a relationship. But when Bakim shows up, convincing his grandson about an unanimous surfing competiton in Miami, Helios doubts every word but still drives down there with Krista.
After a midnight surf at Highpointe Beach, Helios is captured by thug surfers who fiercely interrogate him. After Helios knocked out cold, he is then taken to Bakim's Space Ark where the Sunfoot Soldiers return, aiding Bakim's resurrected plan to capture Helios and force him under hostage. They keep the reconstructed Space Ark under surveillance, and participate in the Blood over Intent ritual with Helios as their primary target. The group disable Helios' escape through the elevator to Atlantis II's dock tower, preventing STS 136 from fleeing the ark. Bakim and the group are later arrested by the WBBA and local police, placed on a restraining order by Helios.

Trivia
- When Helios was little, he had a Pisces DF145 BS gifted by his grandfather, Bakin. Although some say that it might have been Thermal Herculeo DF145 S, this fruition is unexplained throughout the movie.
- Helios name derives from the Greek God, Helios, the original God of the Sun. The name could be also derived from Hel, the Norse version of Hell or the Underworld. He could also be possibly of Greek descent due to the fact that he stood in a greek themed courtyard, practicing with his Pieces beyblade against the headstones belonging to his parents. The reason for his parent's deaths are unknown.
- Helios' only anime appearance outside the movie, is in the ending pictures of Shogun Steel, where he is shown at a space research facility with Team Lovushka.
- Admin Falco276 modeled her own character Blaze Yeager from the Knights vs Dragons series based off of Helios. His dragon sword, Sol is most likely a reference to Helios' beyblade, Sol Blaze hence the combination of the two names.
- He has the same battle record Ryuga had in Beyblade Metal Fusion, defeating Gingka and every main character while losing to Gingka in their final battle.
- Helios' surname is non canon to the movie. Its a fan name given by Falco276 in regards of a custom NASA ID card made by Stellar Designs on Ebay.
